Local Area Information
Per the current Maryland Executive Order, face masks/coverings must be worn in all public establishments, including gas stations and grocery stores. You will not be permitted to enter the establishment without one. Please make sure that you bring all needed face masks/coverings with you.
All restaurants are open for 50% indoor dining and outdoor dining where applicable - most are open for takeout, too. You can find the full list of restaurants currently open here. Only a few allow for delivery, and there are no third-party delivery services (GrubHub, DoorDash) in our area. The only way to order delivery from an establishment is through the Dumpling app. There are instructions on how to do so on the Deep Creek Food Taxi Facebook Page.
Many of our local grocery stores are still experiencing shortages with items such as toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Bringing your own groceries will also limit community spread and increased exposure for both our local community and for you as a visitor to our area. If needing to shop at a local grocery store, this is typically limited to one essential person in your group right now.
The State of Maryland has permitted outdoor recreation activities, so we suggest you enjoy the fresh air and get outside! The Deep Creek Lake area is home to several state parks and recreational areas. Get out and explore our beautiful area!! There are miles and miles of biking trails, hiking trails, and nature to be seen. Outdoor boating for recreation and fishing is also permitted. Please contact local marinas to inquire about availability! High Mountain Sports will also deliver your kayaks and paddle boards right to your rental!

Our Preparation For Your Arrival
We’re committed to the Maryland Strong: Back-to-Business pledge!
Check-In:
Our guests will check in at the front desk and receive their keys and code. The staff will practice social distancing to answer any of your questions. If you will be arriving after 6pm for check-in, you will pick up your key packet at Arrowhead Market with your photo ID. Arrowhead Market is open 24 hours and is located less than half a mile from the hotel (specific instructions/directions given in your pre-arrival emails).
Our front desk is still open in the event you have an issue or emergency. We ask that our guests please contribute to the welfare of the community by following social distancing procedures, however we are here to help in the event an issue or emergency arises. Please contact us by phone first and we would be happy to discuss them with you: (866)990-6852.
Preparing For Your Arrival:
Our housekeeping staff has always used, and will continue to use, high-grade disinfectant and multi-purpose cleaner, utilizing disposable hand wipes instead of reusable cloths. Our staff is also increasing focus on frequently touched items, such as doorknobs, faucets, switches, etc. and ensuring all guidelines recommended by the CDC and County Health Department regarding special practices for COVID-19 prevention are followed.
Throughout Your Visit:
Our team is taking extra measures to communicate the importance to all staff who may be ill to stay home. Our staff at work are practicing good hygiene through frequent hand washing and the use of disinfectant, and wiping down surfaces in our work space, as well as practicing social distancing recommendations. Our front desk will be staffed during the day from 8am – 6pm daily, and are available after hours for emergencies and maintenance concerns.
